High quality calligraphy and makeup brushes require genuine animal fur/hair

Utilizing our specialized knowledge and advanced techniques, we carefully select the highest quality raw materials to continue the innovation of our products.

We have purposefully chosen to use uncut fur/hair in order to achieve soft texture.

The legendary status of the Brush Making Master



The method making Kumano Brush originated in the the Edo Period. Experience of over 12 years is minimum is required to become a cetified Kumano brush making Master. At KOYUDO, two more certified artisans came in 2013, we have a total of three brush masters.

Although only the makeup brushes are sold on KOYUDO website, our entire line of products encompass a larger variety of brush. KOYUDO makeup brushes are a culmination of the technology from our traditional calligraphy brush adn latest innovations.
