LUXURY MAKEUP BRUSHES

Features of luxury makeup brushes

By looking the tip of bristls, quality of the brushes can be identified.

We remove any hair that lacks its tip, which can be happened to natural animal hair.

Luxury Brushes look beyond the aesthetics, focusing on comfort of every brush stroke on the skin

Kumano brushes, originated in Hiroshima Prefecture, traditionally use wood for the handle that are recognized globally for their superb quality.

Koyudo: A luxury makeup brush company

The Koyudo collection is produced in the same assembly line as that of a calligraphy brush. Caligraphy brushes consist of over 50 different materials, in comparison to approximately 20 in a conventional makeup brush.

We have integrated the various techniques used in calligraphy brush making by the perfectionist mentality. In the world of calligraphy brushes, the typically the goat hair is used which can be broken down into more than 10 categories.

The most highly regarded bristle material called "Saibi-Kouhou" had never been used in makeup brushes before our implementation.

Calligrpahy brushes that lack a tapered bristle tip can cause imprefections in the work of calligraphers.

Applying this knowledge to our makeup brushes, we have maximized brush-to-skin contact comfort, while minimizing irritation.

We are constantly pushing the innovation of brush making forward using inspiration from external fields.

The difference between luxury brushes and cheap brushes.

Production cost depends heavily on the filtration of low quality hairs.

Removing individual hairs with truncated tips is a necessary step in the process of luxury brush making.

The quantity of discarded hairs vary naturally, and this is a driving factor of the cost.

This process is similar to Sake distiling. The number of times in which rice is refined directly correlates to the quality of Sake.

Labor and skill intensity is a large factor of cost, however, our efficient production workflow can minimize this.

ORIGINAL EQUIPMENT MANUFACTURING (OEM) FOR LUXURY BRANDS

We provide OEM for several European and Japanese luxury brands. Through direct communication with the brands and artists, we have been able to come up with new and innovative products. On top of the standard products, we are constantly leveraging these connections to push the boundaries of utility and luxury. Our motivation is fueled by input from various fields and our goal to better lives through the use of our brushes.
